Dear CC Montessori Families and Community,

CC Montessori is beginning an important period of reflection, planning, and focused school improvement. As part of this work, we are developing our Targeted Improvement Plan (TIP), which will guide our efforts to strengthen student learning, instructional practices, teacher support, and campus systems.

We are sharing the initial working draft of the Targeted Improvement Plan with our school community. This document is intentionally a working draft and will continue to be reviewed and revised throughout October and into November as we gather additional information, examine student and campus data, complete our Diagnostic Review with our Education Service Center school improvement partner, and—most importantly—hear from our faculty, staff, families, and other stakeholders.

Our current improvement strategy is centered on six interconnected areas:

1. Montessori Education and a Guaranteed, TEKS-Aligned Curriculum
2. Rigorous, Engaging, and Developmentally Responsive Instruction
3. Teacher Capacity through Planning, Internalization, Observation, Feedback, and Coaching
4. Multiple Forms of Assessment and Responsive Instruction
5. Timely, Targeted Intervention and Acceleration
6. Systems Building, Implementation, and Continuous Improvement**

Throughout this process, we remain committed to the strengths of Montessori education and to the qualities that make our school community distinctive: independence, curiosity, purposeful work, responsibility, collaboration, respect for children's development, and attention to the whole child. Our improvement work is intended to build upon those strengths while ensuring that every student also has access to a coherent, TEKS-aligned curriculum and rigorous, engaging learning experiences that support strong academic growth and achievement.

We Need Your Input!

An important part of developing our Targeted Improvement Plan is listening to the people who experience our school from different perspectives. We are asking families, faculty, staff, and other members of our school community to review the draft, participate in our stakeholder survey, and join us for one of our upcoming stakeholder meetings.

We recognize that not every person will have experience with every area addressed in the survey or improvement plan. Please respond to the areas you know and can speak to. We want to understand what our community believes is working well, where stronger support is needed, and what changes should be prioritized.

School improvement is an ongoing process, and meaningful improvement requires both honest reflection and collective effort. We appreciate our families, faculty, staff, students, and community members for contributing their perspectives and helping us determine how CC Montessori can better serve every student.

As we move forward with refining and implementing this plan, we will keep you in the loop.
