Upper Elementary Montessori Guide

Corpus Christi Montessori School is truly a family of passionate and committed believers in the child. We believe in the Montessori philosophy and making it accessible to all students. We also believe education is not only for our students and strive as educators to learn, grow and educate our student families. Teachers and parents alike consistently list the Community and Philosophy as the number one reason for continuing within our program. We serve students from 1st – 8th grade and are growing to make more spaces available.

QUALIFICATIONS-

The ideal candidate will:

-hold a Bachelor degree or higher

-hold AMS or AMI Montessori teaching credential or be willing to immediately pursue certification (online and Face to Face summer training)

-hold Texas State Board of Education certification or be willing to immediately enroll in an authorized Alternative Certification Program

-have 2 years of Montessori and/or public school classroom teaching experience

-commit to Montessori principles of whole-child education, positive discipline, peace education, and student-centered learning

-seek and engage in team collaboration and parent partnership

-have knowledge of the Texas Essential Skills and Knowledge (TEKS) standards

Maintenance and Custodian

Custodial Maintenance Position

Hours: 12:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Duties:

  • Daily building maintenance and cleaning.

  • Moving heavy items and furniture.

  • Steam cleaning rugs.

  • Strip and Wax floors twice a year.

  • Mowing and edging the grounds.

  • Other duties as assigned.  

 

This job will require physicality and dexterity as well as the ability to interact respectfully and appropriately with students and faculty on campus. 

 

-Applicants must be fingerprinted and pass a background check. 

-Applicants must pass a drug screen.

 

Pay: $12.00 plus based on experience.

Dyslexia Interventionist

Part Time. 

Starting pay: $25.00 based on experience.

 

Qualifications: Candidates must:

-hold Texas State Board of Education certification

-hold a Bachelors or higher

-hold a Dyslexia certification from a credible program

 

Overview:

To teach students of multiple grades, identified with dyslexia, using instructional strategies utilize an individualized, intensive, multi-sensory, phonetic and engaging approach with a variety of writing and spelling components; provide students the opportunity to make significant gains in reading; and develop competencies and skills to achieve a sense of purpose and success in reading and writing.
